Cordão de Ouro Nottingham will be holding its 7th Batizado on the 11th - 13th of April this year. Confirmed special guests include Mestre Suassuna, Mestre Jogo de Dentro and Mestre Espirro-Mirim.

There will also be other Masters and teachers from around the world visiting the event. Please click on the flyer image below to book a place. On clicking you will download a PDF file, which you can print out and fill in to give to Contra-Mestre Papa-Léguas.

PLEASE NOTE that the venue for Friday's workshop will be at the ICC Large hall, and not at the Victoria Leisure Centre as advertised on the flyer.

Mestre Ataulfo, currently teach in Natal, a Brazilian city where there is a long standing tradition of capoeira from our group Cordão de Ouro. Come and enjoy this rare opportunity to train with one of the best and well respected figures of Capoeira Cordão de Ouro nowadays.

1st Workshop with Contra-Mestre Papa Léguas in Sheffield

This will be taking place on the 25th of October at Victoria Hall, Chapel Walk off Norfolk
Street, Sheffield. The workshop will start at 6:30pm.and will be followed bt the 'Veja Brasil!' party, which will include a Capoeira show, live samba bateria and brazilian music. The venue will be the Casbah, Wellington Street, Sheffield from 9:00pm until late. The cost of the workshop and
entrance to the party is only £10.

Cordão De Ouro Monthly rodas

We are now holding regular rodas on the last Friday of every month. It is a gathering of the enitre group, with capoeiristas from Nottingham, Birmingham, Derby, and Sheffield. They will all take place at the ICC and the dates for the next 6 months will be: March 30th, April 27th, May 25th, June 29th, July 27th, and August 31st. Please come along!
